Ming Choy focuses his practice on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications related to telecommunications, data center, network flow control, artificial intelligence, consumer electronics, electric vehicles, drones, etc. Mr. Choy also has experience in preparing opinion work and providing litigation support in the areas of power converter and digital oscilloscope.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Choy was an associate in the Palo Alto office of an international law firm where he practiced patent prosecution. Previously, Mr. Choy worked as a design engineer at a leading microprocessor manufacturer where he designed delay-locked loop, spread spectrum clock generator, high speed serial interface and high voltage circuits for consumer electronics applications, high speed reference buffers for pipeline analog-to-digital converter, low-jitter high frequency clocking circuits, and termination resistor compensation circuits. Mr. Choy also worked as a software engineer and developed a hardware simulator to validate the video processing unit of a chipset, as well as tools to generate test patterns for MPEG-2 and H.264.
Mr. Choy speaks and is proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
